サンタさんが、「ペットショップに行って好きな鳥を見つけなさい」という手紙をくれたので、さっそくペットショップに行ってきました。サンタさんってば、ちゃんと調べてくれて、お店まで紹介してくれたよ。サンタさんのくれた手紙を見せたら、お店のひとはちゃんと鳥を一緒に選んでくれて、鳥かごやえさや鳥のおもちゃまで教えてくれました。このセキセイインコを飼うことになりました。まだ生まれて７週目で、人間からエサをもらっていたので、人に慣れています。ペットショップのおばちゃんに教えてみらったようにトレーニングを続けると、手にのったり、話したりするようになるんだって。名前はパーキー（英語で「元気」という意味）にしました。Santa left a letter under the tree yesterday, saying that she can get any bird she likes from this very nice pet store which he specified (he did his homework!) . We gave the store owner the letter from Santa and they were more than happy to honor the letter. They recommended this parakeet and helped us to select the cage, bird food and bird toys. The parakeet is only seven weeks old and has been hand-fed, so very friendly. If we continue to train him according to the instruction, he will be able to stay on a hand and talk to us! His name is Perky.
