It's new year's eve, and in Japan all the businesses and stores are closed, but here in the US it looks pretty much as usual. We had a little trip to UCLA with Grandpa and Grandma.

なんとかホール。名前は忘れたけどなかなか立派な建物。This is something Hall. I forgot the name but looks pretty authentic.
ちょっと小寒いコートはなしでOKよ。日本食レストランでご飯食べて、家に帰って紅白歌合戦を見ました。アメリカにいるとみんなボケるのか、紅白歌合戦という名前がすぐ出ず、さまざまな名前で呼びます。「アレ、もうすぐ始まるだろ、あれあれ、のど自慢！」、「アレ、みなきゃ、うたバン！」、「いま、レコード大賞みてるからさ」などなど。It's a little chilly but we did not need a coat. We enjoyed a Japanese dinner, drove home and watched the infamous Japanese Red and White Song Festival, which is an annual year-end program.
