海の見える公園でピクニックをと思い、お重にお弁当を詰めて丘を登っていったのに、今日は風が強くあまりの寒さに急遽、裏庭ピクニックに変更。We packed a nice lunch and went up the hill for a picnic in a park overlooking the coast line, but today it was extremely windy and chilly up there, we didn't last 5 minutes. So we switched to a backyard picnic.
このお友達、「明日行くホテルは~。。」と言いながら、ポケットから手帳を取り出した！このiPhone時代、手帳だよ,手帳！！しかも地図やら時刻表やら細かく折ったものがほどよく挟み込まれていて、なんだか20年前にタイムスリップしたよう。見ているだけで癒されました。This friend of my husband's took out a little notebook from his pocket, to check on the hotel he's staying tomorrow. This is something I haven't seen for quite sometime. It's not a Blackberry, it's not an iPhone, but it's a notebook which you CAN SCRIBBLE in with a REAL PEN! It was so comforting to see him reading his own handwriting from the page.
