今日は、教会の野外礼拝の日でした。牧師さんによる「子育ての勘所~子どもの短所を長所にする」を聞いた後、BBQ、運動会をしました。We had an outdoor worship on this Sunday. Our pastor gave a speech titled, "Raising kids while turning their shortcomings into God's gift." BBQ and field competition followed.
コミュニティーの日本人をたくさん招待したので、クリスチャン、ノンクリスチャンが混じりあい、知っている人も知らない人も一緒に楽しみました。これは子どもの玉入れ。This is a kids' match. They were divided into two teams and competed by trying to get as many as balls into the basket.
一番の盛り上がりはなんといっても綱引き！男の子チーム対女の子チーム！結果は。。。Tug of war! How much fun we had with this! This one is boys vs girls. Guess who won?
女の子チームの華々しい勝利！男の子チームには大人ふたり助っ人で入ったのだけど、ガールズ・パワーに勝てず。。。Girls! Even two adults joined the boy's team to give a little boost, but they could not overcome the girl's power.
こちらは大人版。関東チーム対関西チーム。東北も関東、九州も関西というおおざっぱな分け方。結果は。。。関西パワーの圧勝なり。This one is East Japan vs West Japan, depending on which part of Japan you are from. West Japan won!
