今日は母の日。教会では、男性陣が女性陣のためにすばらしいランチを用意してくれました。アメリカでは母の日は、必ずしも自分の母親にだけを対象にするのではなく、全世界の母親という仕事をしている人々に感謝して祝しましょうというものです。It's Mother's Day. At church, men threw a wonderful luncheon for women.

いつもちょっとナチュラル・ボケの娘が、この花を差し出しながら、「ハッピー・バレンタインデー！」She handed this flower vase to me, saying, "Mom, Happy Valentine's Day!" (She did not notice until corrected.)
夕飯は、お決まり、パパと息子のカレー。野菜きりは息子、炒め煮込みはパパ。Today's dinner is the well-known (?) curry specially made by our son-dad team. The son cut the veggies and the dad cooked it.
できあがり。明日からまた、母親業をがんばろう。Here we are! Today's pampering should get me going for another year.
