今日は感謝祭。いつもなら朝から感謝祭ディナーの準備に追われて、ターキーを焼いたり、マッシュドポテトをつくったり、アスパラガスをゆでたりという日なのに、今日はさにあらず。今日も朝から保険会社に出す書類作りに追われて、やっと一息ついたら夕方。冷蔵庫はからっぽ。5時過ぎにミツワ（日本食品店）に買出しに行く。今日のメニューは、おすし！弊店間際だったので、$31.50が$24だった。ビデオ屋さんで、「アンビリーバボー」を借りてきたので、今からみんなで見ます。It's Thanksgiving day! I am usually very busy on this day, starting preparing turkey, mushed potato, asparagus etc. etc. right before noon. It was not like that today. I was busy preparing those papers for the insurance companies and when I was done, it was 5:00 pm. We went to Mitsuwa, a Japanese grocery store and decided to get a Sushi plate for dinner. It was right before the closing time, so we got lucky only having to pay $24 for $31.50 plate. We dropped by in a video store and rented a recorded Japanese TV program. We will watch it as a family now. Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!
