今日はトーランスの隠れた名所（？）のご案内。トーランスにはいくつか公立高校がありますが、そのうちのひとつトーランス・ハイスクールです。このあたりの小学校や中学校が掘っ立て小屋的なわりには、この高校はとても素敵な建物で、過去にもいくつかのテレビ番組のロケーションとして使われました。I will introduce a hidden tourist spot here in Torrance. There are couple public high school in the city, and one of them is Torrance High. While elementary schools and middles schools around here look pretty modest with little huts for classrooms, this high school boasts beautiful structures. It actually has been used as locations for quite a few TV programs.
1990年代に流行った、「ビバリーヒルズ高校白書」に出てくるウエスト・ビバリーヒルズ高校は実はここ。もう少し最近では、「バフィー・ザ・バンパイヤー・スレイヤー」という番組では、サニーデール高校として登場します。In 1990s, it appeared on TV as "West Beverly Hills High" in the successful series, "Beverly Hills 90210." Later, it made the scene as "Sunnydale High" in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
