To the south to where we live, you find a beautiful peninsula of Palos Vedes. We drove to the highest point of the peninsula to enjoy the beautiful Pacific Ocean. I introduced this area when I went hiking with friend before. The peninsula was originally inhabited by native Indian tribes. In 1540's a Portuguese explorer arrived here and after that the land had passed through various mortgage holders to a landlord who leased it to Japanese farmers. Even though this area is still located within Los Angeles county, the rolling hills expand over the wide open space and you see people who enjoy horseback riding and cycling along the street.
Bird eye view. Torrance where we live is to the left. If you go further to the left, you will LA downtown.
California sky!
It was a little foggy over the ocean...
